Digital supply chain transformation requires a rare balance of global architectural rigor and local adaptability. We are proud to announce a partnership that sits at the heart of this challenge. The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) has selected us as the Central IT Service Provider for the DFQT+ (Digital Fortification Quality Traceability Plus) platform.

What is DFQT+?
Large-scale food fortification is one of the most effective ways to combat malnutrition, but its success depends on one thing: data. The DFQT+ platform is a country-owned digital system designed to help mills, refineries, and government authorities track micronutrient quality throughout the entire value chain – from premix procurement to the final product on the shelf.
By digitizing this process in countries like Nigeria and Bangladesh, the platform ensures that fortified foods consistently meet national standards, providing families with the nutrition they need to thrive.
The Challenge: Centralized Logic + Local Support
Scaling a platform across diverse regulatory and technical landscapes often leads to fragmented code and technical debt. For a traceability system to be sustainable, it requires:
- Global rigor: A secure, standardized core codebase that ensures data integrity.
- Local agility: Empowering on-the-ground teams to own their data and handle frontline (Level 1) support.
GAIN needed a partner who could manage the global core while providing Level 2 support to local providers. We’ve designed our role specifically to bridge the gap between high-level development and localized deployment.
Our Role
As the Central IT Service Provider, we are responsible for the operability and evolution of the DFQT+ ecosystem. While local IT partners manage day-to-day production hosting, we provide the technical foundation:
- Codebase management: We maintain the central DFQT+ GitHub repository, ensuring the platform remains stable, scalable, and secure.
- Azure infrastructure & DevOps: We oversee cloud resources and CI/CD pipelines to guarantee high availability and seamless updates across all regions.
- Level 2 technical partnership: We serve as the primary expert support tier, helping local IT teams in Nigeria and Bangladesh navigate complex architectural challenges and core business logic.
Strengthening the Supply Chain Ecosystem
This partnership with GAIN is a natural extension of our commitment to the global health and logistics sectors. Managing the DFQT+ platform allows us to apply our deep expertise in open-source traceability systems.
Our work with GAIN directly complements our ongoing contributions to major open-source supply chain projects like OpenLMIS (the leading logistics management information system for medical commodities) and OpenBoxes (an open-source inventory management system designed for low-resource settings).
By bridging the gap between sophisticated cloud architecture and the practical needs of local supply chains, we are helping to build a more transparent, data-driven future for global nutrition.
