About
IMGW – PIB (Institute of Meteorology and Water Management – National Research Institute) is a Polish research and development entity that provides continuously the state authorities, the public, and national economy with current information on the state of the atmosphere and hydrosphere, weather forecasts and warnings both in normal as well as in emergency situations. The technical infrastructure of the IMGW – PIB includes observing – measurement, ICT, data processing, forecasting, and warning systems. R&D activities focus on meteorology and hydrology.
Solution
We have implemented for the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) projects related to the assimilation of data into hydrodynamic models, and processing information about the freezing of the Baltic Sea in the frame of project PL0103 “Strengthening the administrative capacity in order to improve the management of Polish coastal zone environment”.
