PM Lead efficiently and accurately uses, compares, and evaluates: best practices, methodologies, processes used in project management, and tools and technologies used to support project management. Equally important – PM Lead plays the expert and mentor role for other PM team members.

• Continuously establish and update company standards within the PM area and play the role of the owner and the expert in this field
• Identifies how PM team members align within an organizational standard and support them in achieving the set goals
• Helps PM team members identify the scope of the project itself and their role in a particular project based on the project requirements
• Helps PM team members identify the required metrics and work to have them in place
• Figures out what skills are required and balances the PM resources accordingly with those needs based on their own interests as well
• Identifies if there are any skill gaps and plan for training & education sessions
• Identifies the tools for project management, and educates the team on how to use those tools.
• Plans and hosts regular knowledge transfer sessions for the PM team
• Retains skilled resources by instilling leadership in them and offer guidance to the junior resources as and when required thereby enabling them to grow
• Serves as a high-level PM expert and provide guidance for other departments or clients if needed
